Our new messaging system
16th Jun 2016
In recent weeks we have changed to a new messaging system to improve our communication with students and parents. The school is going to implement Schoolcomms, a school communication system. This will enable you to receive all your communications from school quickly and reliably. We can send letters by email to your inbox and short messages directly to your mobile phone as a text message, or if you have either an Apple or Android mobile phone, by app message. The school will use the mobile number and e-mail address that we hold for the Priority one contact in our database.
We are encouraging all of our parents to provide us with their up-to-date contact details to help us in being able to use this system more effectively. Please could you contact your child's campus to provide us with you e-mail address and to also update any mobile numbers that you believe may be incorrect. If you do change your contact details then please could you let school know as soon as possible.
Schoolcomms is registered with the data protection act. All information you provide will be kept private and will not be passed on to any other organisation. Your details will only be used for the purpose of school business. You will not receive any SPAM or marketing material.
Help us to save money...by downloading the School Gateway app!
If you have a smartphone, you can download the 'School Gateway' app from your app store (Android and iPhone). By doing this we can send you app messages, similar to those sent by other app based providers and this will avoid the cost of a text message. You will also be able to reply to any message for FREE!
It is quick and easy to do. All you will need are your e-mail address and mobile number that school holds on record for you. If you have any trouble regarding this then please contact your child's campus for further help.
If you do not have a smartphone, you will still receive text messages from school and you will also be able to reply.
